rFactor1 Monaco Grand Prix - Preview

RFactor1 arrives for the sixth round of the championship in the "toboga" of Montecarlo, where sports and social life merge in the historic Grand Prix of Monaco.



The world of Formula 1 is shaken after the upheaval took place in the charts the last two GP changes after the checks carried out by Admins on the regularity of some Grand Prix. The circus is extremely excited about the appointment of Monaco for his peculiarities that may have some surprises.
The track is really difficult, 3,340 kms long, nineteen corners, eleven right and eight left. There are also three chicanes and the famous tunnel. "Old station corner" is the lowest corner of the whole championship, only 50 kms/h.

The staff recommends full attention and respect for themselves and for other drivers, given that level of presence in the race track will be more complicated in the league.

rFactor1 Official News - DSQ for Zingalus and Greg

After checking all the files of this season races, the staff decided to DSQ Zingalus (Ferrari) and Greg (Brawn) for Bahrein and Spanish Grand Prix, because they cheated during qualify/parc ferme.
They will lose also all the points they took during first three GPs, while the result doesn't change. Zingalus and Greg will start in last two positions at Monaco Grand Prix.

rFactor1 Gran Premio Teléfonica d'Espana - Barcelona - Comment

The return of rFactor1 in old Europe was highly awaited and fans had not been disappointed by a very exciting race. Since free practise, it was clear that there weren't great differences between all cars.
In qualify, first pole position ever for Alex Zingalus, followed by Corigliano e Baroni. Fifth place for the returning (after his domestic accident) Tomas Luty.

First lap was really exciting: Baroni took the lead, bad start for GM Serra who had also a contact with Cardozo at corner 1, Iudicello went off at corner 2 and broke his nose. Corigliano lost two positions at Renault Corner, but he will came back in 3rd place until the end of the lap; Seat corner was a trap for Cardozo, Nieto and Luty. Great overtaking by GM Serra on Burdisso at Wurth chicane.
At lap two, Pitstops required for Iudicello, Cardozo and Nieto.
Third lap, again in Wurth chicane, GM Serra overtook Greg for seventh place.
After five laps, Baroni is is increasing its lead over rivals: there was a great fight for 4th, with Smith, Sburroso, Luty and GM Serra in battle.

Seventh lap, corner 1, awesome overtaking by Corigliano on Zingalus for 2nd place. In Renault corner, Sburroso attacked Smith, who tried in following three corners to take again his position. At Wurth chicane, contact between the Italian and the english, while Luty hit the Force India's driver and brike his nose. To take advantage to the situation is GM Serra, who overtook Luty before following corner. But is not over yet: Toro Rosso's driver attacked also Smith at Campsa, the British tried to resist but touched the grass going off the track, hugely destroying his McLaren. At the end of the lap, pit for Luty.

Bad accident for Adam Smith, fortunately without consequences for the driver.

In five laps, between 10th and 15th, all drivers pitted, but Baroni had a problem in his refuel machine and will pit again at 16th. But at lap 16th, the fatal mistake: Baroni speeded in pitlane and will make a Drive Trought at 22nd lap. Corigliano took the lead and Baroni closed 5th.

rFactor1 Gran Premio Teléfonica d'Espana - Barcelona - Preview

Finally rFactor1 is back in Europe, after last week tests in Barcelona. Force India seemed to be the fastes car of the circus, with Sburroso at the top.



Barcelona is the most used track for winter tests, because of the hot weather of Spain. The first rF1 test session ever had been here in January.


Barcelona track has got 16 corners, nine right and seven left, with one of the longest straight line of the circus.
Baroni, also after moving to Force India, is still leading the standing, with Corigliano, Zingalus, Serra and Iudicello to follow.



The race is tuesday, April 20th, free practise will start at 09.00pm GMT time (10.00pm in Italy).

rFactor1 Gulf Air Bahrein Grand Prix - Manama - Comment

The rFactor1 league is still showing exciting races in this first part of the season.
The Bahrain Grand Prix did not disappoint expectations, with a really exciting race and a quite good number of drivers in track. There was a lot of expectation for Baroni's debut on Force India and the leader of the standing did a good race.

In qualify, good exploit of Miguel Sburroso, who showed all the power of the Force India. In pole, his teammate Baroni (2nd) and Davide Corigliano (1st).

At first corner, there was a contact between Zingalus and Sburroso, who in turn buffers his teammate Baroni. Sburroso broke his nose and will pit at the end of the first lap. Great start for Giacomo Serra, 5th at the second corner after starting 9th.


Giacomo Serra is still in troubles with Toro Rosso, only one race finished of four.

Second lap, corner 15, accident between Greg and Wariof. The Brawn driver lost the control of his car and Wariof hit him, they both continued.
Third lap, GM Serra attacked Iudicello and overtook him at corner 13.
One lap later, again an unlucky race for Giacomo Serra, retired after his engine blow up. Pitstop for Burdisso.
Seventh lap, Corigliano is leading, followed by Baroni, Zingalus, Serra and Iudicello.

Nineth lap, Wariof pitted. In the following three laps, pitstops for Serra, Corigliano, Iudicello, Greg and Zingalus, with Sburroso who is climbing the standing. Wariof Spun at corner 13.
13th lap, pits for Vacca and Baroni, Corigliano is back in first position.


Finally, a race with point for Wariof with Ferrari

Two laps later, Wariof took 9th positio overtaking Bernard.
Seventeenth lap, second pit for Vacca (speeding in pit line, then stop&go).
One lap to go, final attempt to attack of Baroni, but Corigliano defend his first position, winning the race after 21 exciting laps.

Gianpiero Baroni slightly crossed the white line coming out of the box, the last part of the lane. He will not be penalized in this race because the contact was minimal and ineffective, but being a recidivist is under observation. If he should repeat this offense is punishable by ten seconds in the race and starting in the last row in the following grand prix.

rFactor1 Gulf Air Bahrein Grand Prix - Preview

The fourth round of the championship takes us in the Middle East, particularly in Bahrain, for a race that promises to be exciting.

Baroni (who just signed for Force India), is leading the standing, with Zingalus, Corigliazzu and GM Serra trying to catch him.



The track has got fifteeen corners, eight right and seven left, with three long straights. Max speed should be around 300 kms/h.
